Dr Penny Mackenzie is an experienced radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba. Dr Mackenzie completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours from the University of Melbourne and completed specialist radiation oncology training in Brisbane. She subsequently completed a breast cancer fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Canada.
Dr Mackenzie has previously held a number of senior positions including chair of the head and neck cancer multidisciplinary clinic and co-lead of the brain tumour stereotactic radiation therapy program at St George Hospital, Sydney. She was recently appointed chair of the Icon head and neck cancer radiation therapy committee. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with special interest in breast cancer, head and neck cancer, skin cancer, haematological malignancies and central nervous system malignancies.
